About the project

At the end of 2014 launched the project "ECO Education for a healthy environment", which is funded by the CBC Programme Romania - Bulgaria 2007 - 2013. The project is co-financed by the EU through the European Regional Development Fund and contracted grant № 79 356 / 08.10.2014, MIS ETC 336.

The project will be implemented from 10.23.2014 until 31.12.2015

"ECO Education for a healthy environment" allows collaboration between schools and organizations from both countries.

The main objective of the project is to raise awareness on environmental issues among young people in the border region. There will be created an innovative learning system that will assess progress, knowledge, performance and skills needed for the preservation of natural heritage.

The team working on this task, create and introduce digitized learning material in a total of 4 / four / schools in the two countries. While implementing the project there will be created and implemented a training system for environmental protection based on e-learning portal. Will be developed training methodology and reaching impact on students and teachers, ICT for equal access. The project will accelerate the process of introducing ICT system of education.

Thus the students' attention will be focused on pressing global issues and their impact within Romania and Bulgaria.

Will follow specific objectives for the establishment of common training programs, establishing a model of partnership between NGOs and secondary school education in the Danube River.

The total project cost is 1,321,267, 68 euros.

The project will be implemented in the following areas: Romania - Craiova, Dolj, Calarasi and Bulgaria - Silistra, Glavinitsa, Ruse

Expected results:

Easy learning process on the environment. Crucial for achieving this result is the possibility of joint work of experts from Romania and Bulgaria. Combining their efforts brings both national and international response.

Developed e-content for all students from 7 to 11th grade for Romania and Bulgaria.

Developed 12 e-books and 12 electronic test (1 test tool).

Achieving an integrated approach in the education system.
